IS 1200:2000 (Part 28) is the Indian Standard (BIS) for methods of building and civil engineering works, part 28: sound insulation works. IS 1200 Part 28 establishes the standardized method of measurement for sound insulation works in buildings, including acoustic boards, quilts, and sealants. Quantity surveyors, estimators, and engineers use this code to accurately quantify materials for Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation, cost estimation, and contractor billing.
