IS 1200:2000 (Part 18) is the Indian Standard (BIS) for method of measurement of building and civil engineering works, part 18: demolition and dismantling. This part of the IS 1200 series prescribes the methods and units of measurement for the demolition and dismantling of building and civil engineering structures. Engineers, quantity surveyors, and contractors use this code to accurately quantify removed materials for the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimation, and tendering.
